Verbos Saber y Conocer en Inglés

El inglés tiene un sólo verbo: ‘to know’, para los dos significados: ‘saber’ y ‘conocer’.

CONOCER EN INGLÉS

El verbo ‘conocer’ también tiene otros significados en inglés dependiendo del contexto.
1. El verbo ‘to meet’ podría significar ‘conocer’ o ‘encontrarse a’ dependiendo del contexto:

I met her (for the first time) at the party last night – La conocí en la fiesta anoche
I met her at the party last nightI met her at the party last nightI met her at the party last nightI met her at the party last night – Me la encontré en la fiesta anoche (si no era el primer encuentro)

2. ‘Conocer a alguien mejor’ también se traduce como‘to get to know someone better’:
I spent the day with Lucy so that I could get to know her better -  Pasé todo el día con Lucy para conocerla mejor

Hi! I’m Jennifer! I am 9 years old. I live in Houston, Texas with my mother, father, and two brothers. I like going to school but I hate doing homework and taking exams. At school I study English, Spanish, Science, Social Studies and Mathematics. I love going to school and seeing my friends and teachers every day. I also like to play baseball after school. I don’t have any sisters but my best friend, Olga, is just like my sister. We tell each other everything. We also study and watch TV together. When I grow up I’m going to be a nurse and take care of sick people.
